If your spouse/partner is coming with you to Whistler and
they would like something interesting to do on the afternoon of
Friday April 29, here are a couple of tours that we have organized.
You can register your
spouse/partner to attend one or both of these new events, by modifying
your District Conference registration on ClubRunner or send an email to mike@idealdoor.ca with your request.
Friday April 29 3:30 PM: 1.5 hour cooking demo with
Pastry Chef Anup Chupal, he demos sugar art & chocolate art tips
& tricks. Participants will be invited to make a "Tarte au
Chocolat" to take home! $50 per person. This tour is limited to 40
participants and then it will be closed.
Friday April 29,
one hour private "Back of the Fairmont Whistler" tour includes 5 min
stops along with interesting stats at the Lobby Area & Front
Desk, cafe & shop, staff cafeteria, pastry kitchen, housekeeping
& linen room, receiving bay & R zone, banquet stewarding
area, the Cold Kitchen, Main Kitchen & Wildflower Kitchen and
ballrooms. Limited room on this tour also, groups of 15,
exact tour time to be confirmed: $15 per person.

Poster
Session If you have
a project worth sharing, consider participating in the Poster
Session at District 5040 Conference 2016. The poster session is on Saturday morning and is 75
minutes long. The audience will flow through the poster session and
stop to discuss those projects that they find interesting and want
further information.
Poster sessions
provide an opportunity for informal and interactive presentation and
discussion of a project or idea by individual Rotarians or a
Club. To reserve a space for your club's project at the Poster
